After practicing here in the Valley of the Sun for the last 13 years, I’ve decided to open my own orthopedic surgical practice in Chandler, AZ. As the Founder and CEO of The Dungy Orthopedic Center I take pride in the professionalism that will be provided to you as a patient. I was taught to be proud of the work that I do and thus the name of my practice.
I am board certified orthopedic surgeon with a sub-specialization in adult reconstruction (joint replacement). I hold membership in the AMA, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and as a fellow of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) since 2006. I received my B.S. degree in Microbiology at the University of Maryland at College Park during which time I worked as an intern in the Clinical Pathology Department at the National Institutes of Health and performed genetic research at the Johns Hopkins University. I earned my medical degree from the University of Illinois and completed my general surgical internship and orthopedic residency at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
This was followed by a Fellowship at the Harvard University Combined Orthopedic Training program at Massachusetts General Hospital. During my Fellowship, I focused on orthopedic joint replacement and adult reconstruction. I enjoy publishing in my areas of specialization in international peer-reviewed journals, and presenting my research to colleagues at national meetings.
I consider myself to be a “citizen physician” because I take pride in being involved in our community by serving as a teacher and mentor to both medical and physician assistant students. I also enjoy providing lectures and presentations throughout the community on treatment options for common orthopedic issues on a regular basis.
With the aid and support of a top notch Physician’s Assistant and support staff, this active practice performs over 300 joint replacements surgeries annually. We look forward to serving our community for years to come.
