Danton S. Dungy, M.D.

After practicing in the Valley of the Sun for over 21 years, I decided to open my own orthopedic surgical practice in Chandler, AZ. As the Founder and CEO of The Dungy Orthopedic Center, I take pride in the professionalism that will be provided to you as a patient.

I was taught to be proud of the work that I do and thus the name of my practice. I am board certified orthopedic surgeon with a sub-specialization in adult reconstruction (joint replacement). I hold membership in the AMA, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and as a fellow of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) since 2006.   I received my B.S. degree in Microbiology at the University of Maryland at College Park during which time I worked as an intern in the Clinical Pathology Department at the National Institutes of Health and performed genetic research at the Johns Hopkins University. I earned my medical degree from the University of Illinois and completed my general surgical internship and orthopedic residency at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.. I then completed a fellowship in orthopedic adult reconstruction (hip and knee replacement) at the Harvard University combined orthopedic training program at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Patient Testimonial

“The nursing staff here is wonderful. They took care of me better than I ever could have expected. My nurse stayed by me the entire time. I would definitely recommend Surgcenter Gilbert to family and friends.”
